Fifth graders have learned to access their network, gmail, and Destiny library accounts. They have had lessons on using the TBS databases and the Dewey Decimal system, and participated in a scavenger hunt to ensure they can find print and ebook library resources. Students have discussed internet safety and digital netiquette and will be learning to vet internet sites for research later this semester. They will be participating in the Book Fair at the end of November, the TBS Hour of Coding that aligns with the National Hour of Coding in early December, followed by a short coding unit using small robotics, and then learning to create their own augmented reality story before their transition to Wellness class at the end of January.
Access to TBS LibraryResources
L
Students have used the digital resources in library class and have full access remotely. If they forget their logins or any of the passwords for Databases or Ebooks, I have sent each of them an electronic copy of that information via the Library Google Classroom. If they login to the classroom, the TBS ELECTRONIC RESOURCES posting will be in the stream of items to which they have ongoing access.
